Julie Beth Ertz (née Johnston; born April 6, 1992) is an American soccer player who currently plays for the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), the top level of women’s professional soccer in the United States, as well as the US women’s national team.
On February 9, 2013, she made her maiden appearance for the United States national team in an international friendly against Scotland. Since then, she has appeared in over 100 games for the team.
Ertz engaged Philadelphia Eagles tight end, Zach Ertz, in February 2016 at Klein Field, the Stanford University baseball field where they originally met. They married on the shore of Santa Barbara, California, on March 26, 2017.
