Mavin Records signee, Ayra Starr, has mentioned a few artistes she looks up to and hopes to even collaborate with them.
During a question and answer time between the Bloody Samaritan hitmaker and her Twitter fans dubbed #askayra, she revealed that the people she looks up to as an artiste are Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Wizkid and Burna Boy.
There was no Nigerian female artiste as part of the people she mentioned. Some fans have questioned that, is it because she sees herself to be outstanding than any other female artistes in the country or she just doesn’t have a role model in her country’s industry?
A while ago, a fan shared that Nigerian singer, Simi has fallen off, and now the new artiste everyone is paying attention to is Ayra Starr. The singer became popular after joining one of Africa’s finest records labels, Mavin entertainment.
According to Starr, she might also have a collaboration with Burna Boy and Olamide soon.
